Video: Last FEMA trailer leaves New Orleans

Six years after Hurricane Katrina, the FEMA trailers deployed in the storm?s aftermath are no longer needed. NBC?s Brian Williams reports.

>> six years and six months after hurricane katrina hit new orleans , the last of the fema trailers has left new orleans . fema called the departure a significant katrina recovery milestone. more than 23,000 were deployed in the storm's afternath in just the new orleans area alone. while they were the only shelter a lot of folks had, a lot were later suspected to have toxic interior materials leading to various illnesses. the best news here is that all the former occupants of the fema trailers have now moved on to a more permanent residence.
