Go Vacation Review (Digital Trends)

The Wii has no shortage of mini-games. You could even go so far as to say it has more than its fair share. Four of the five best-selling Wii titles are filled with mini-games, and the only exception is Mario Kart, which isn?t a mini-game, but it is filled with short bursts of gameplay rather than anything with a story-driven campaign. So there is obviously a market for it, and Namco Bandai?is well aware of that.

With the Wii in its twilight, we will probably see more games like this ? ones that try to squeeze every ounce of the Wii?s fanbase that it can. The genres that already have a proven track record will come fast and furious, while the more experimental games will likely be pushed to the Wii U. There will be exceptions to that rule, but Go Vacation is not one of them.

Instead, Go Vacation is a massive collection of mini-games. You could call it a clone of Wii Sports Resort, and it is to a degree, but the same can be said of almost every military-themed first-person shooter on the 360 and PS3. Go Vacation isn?t the most groundbreakingly original game, but it does several things well.

The game takes place on a series of vacation-themed resorts on Kawawii Island, each with their own mini-games, and each with their own environment, including: marine, city, mountain and snow-themed locations. There are 50 in total, and each game has multiple challenges within. These challenges range from everything from jet ski races, to air hockey and sky diving, and each of these games can be played with up to four players. ?The island is also laid out with an open-world feel, so you can walk, drive or ride from activity to activity.?

None of the games are particularly difficult, and they range in quality and enjoyment as you might expect with so many choices. By ?ranging,? I mean some are good and some are really bad. There is a lot of variety, and some of it will also just be a matter of taste, yet there are a few of the games that simply don?t work that well. It is great that the games aren?t all just various models of the same thing and they mostly feel unique, with a few?forgivable?exceptions, but some are little more than hitting a button at the right time. But there is always something to do that you can enjoy, especially with a group of friends. Some are in-depth like ATV races and require you to move and plan, while others like volleyball boil down to timing and moving the controller at the right moment. These can be simple to the point of being dull. When the games are good, they are fun, when they are not, they are tedious and?occasionally?frustrating.

Go Vacation?is a simple game, and that is never?more?in evident than with the AI. It follows patterns more than it actually competes. This is never clearer than in races, when you may be ahead and an AI opponent will slam into you ? not because they want to wreck you, but because they are going in a straight line and you happened to get in their way.?Travelling around the open world is fun for a bit, especially when you are on a vehicle, but the huge variety of NPCs end up being little more than rocks. You can run into them at full speed and it is about the same as running into a wall. They are background to make the island seem alive, which is fine, but also unnecessary and a golden opportunity missed. It ends up feeling like the island is unnecessary and gives the game a hollow feel, like it is mostly show and no substance.

While on the island, there are a few things to explore for like new outfits, plus there are a handful of mini-games that aren???t part of the guided tour, but the island really isn???t used to much effect. The loading screens are also frequent, but are generally short. After a few times seeing them though, you will probably get a bit tired of them.

Go Vacation?also manages to utilize pretty much every Wii peripheral made, including the Motion Plus controller, the zapper and the balance board. ?You don?t need them, but if you are looking for an excuse to use those items, you finally have another chance. ?

Conclusion

Go Vacation is best when played as a multiplayer title for players of all ages. The best thing about the mini-games is the variety. The actual gameplay is somewhat simplistic, but the variety keeps the games feeling fresh, plus that makes it great for families and party goers. It probably won?t be enough of a draw for hardcore gamers, though. The single-player mode may appeal to kids, but the lack of substance in the island and AI makes playing alone quite alienating.

Go Vacation isn?t quite at the same level that its ?cousin??Wii Sports Resort is at, but it?does have a lot to offer to people who like the mini-game concept.?If you are looking for a new game to play at a party or with friends, than the wide variety of activities should appeal to you. In general,?Go Vacation?feels a bit underdeveloped, but there are still a lot of things to like.

PFT: Choice cut by 'Boys 6 days after start

Green Bay Packers v Minnesota VikingsGetty Images

We?re trying to look in-depth at every team during their bye week.

The Bears, Jets, Bucs, and Raiders got the treatment earlier this week. Now up: The Packers.

Better than the champs

The Packers offense is better than it was during their Super Bowl season. To put it more precisely: The Packers? 2010 playoff offense has carried over into the 2011 regular season.

Pete Doughtery of the Green Bay Press-Gazette?asked the question?of?the Packers season this week. Do Green Bay?s defense issues matter when the offense is this ridiculous? ?The answer so far is no.

Rodgers easily the MVP?

It?s early, but Aaron Rodgers has been the best player in the league. ?He?s throwing for 9.9 yards-per-attempt. That would tie Kurt Warner for the highest number since the 1950?s. ?Rodgers? accuracy, decision-making, and play-making under duress has been epic.

Yes, the schedule set up well for Green Bay early. Few teams faced an easier early slate. But Rodgers is having a historical season.

More weapons

Jermichael Finley is healthy and catching touchdowns. It says a lot about this offense that Rodgers doesn?t need Finley to be a huge factor each week. ?Jordy Nelson consolidated his playoff success; he?s on pace for 1,000 yards. Randall Cobb isn?t a consistent threat, but he brings a new dimension to the offense. ?Greg Jennings and James Jones are who they have always been.

This is simply a better group than a year ago. Only the Saints have scored more points. ?Almost all the receivers are in their prime and know Mike McCarthy?s system well. Donald Driver?s decline barely matters; he?s the fourth or fifth wideout.

Line has held up

There were concerns in the preseason about the offensive line, but it has held up fairly well despite tackle Chad Clifton?s injury. Marshall Newhouse played well on the left side until facing the Vikings. The interior is strong. There may not be a better guard-center combo in the league than Scott Wells and Josh Sitton. Bryan Bulaga has continued to develop at right tackle.

More of the same from run game

This is not a great running team, but they aren?t as bad as the numbers indicate. The Packers rank 26th in yards?per-carry at 3.8. They were 25th last year. ?But the two key runners are better than that.

James Starks is at 4.5 yards-per-carry and Ryan Grant is at 4.0. Grant isn?t quite his old self and Starks could be more consistent, but it?s not a terrible group. Starks impressively closed out the win over Minnesota.

Defense takes step back

Green Bay?s defense gives up a lot of yards, like the Patriots. ?They still rank in the top ten in points allowed, like the Patriots. Points matter, not yards. ?The Packers are a good red zone defense team. They could stand to get better play from some of their young core cuys.

Clay Matthews has been good so far, but not to his 2010 level. ?The same is true for B.J. Raji. Tramon Williams hasn?t been 100%. Get that trio playing at a higher level, and the Packers defense could surge late in the year like in 2010. So far they have been ordinary.

Schedule gets much tougher

The Packers have benefited from one of the easiest schedules in the league. It gets tougher with road dates against the Chargers, Chiefs, Lions, and Giants. ?The Packers only face one team the rest of the way that currently has a losing record.

An undefeated season is very unlikely, but something around 14-2 sounds about right. That would result in the No. 1 seed in the NFC, a great spot from which to try to win another championship.

Going off-the-cuff, Romney does himself few favors (AP)

WASHINGTON ? Mitt Romney may need a censor. For himself.

In the last few weeks in Nevada, the man who owns several homes told the state hit tough by the housing crisis: "Don't try and stop the foreclosure process. Let it run its course and hit the bottom."

At one point in Iowa, earlier this year, the former venture capitalist uttered, "Corporations are people," with the country in the midst of a debate over Wall Street vs. Main Street. At an event in economically suffering Florida, the retiree ? who is a multimillionaire many times over ? told out-of-work voters, "I'm also unemployed."

Over the past year, the Republican presidential candidate has amassed a collection of off-the-cuff comments that expose his vulnerabilities and, taken together, cast him as out-of-touch with Americans who face staggering unemployment, widespread foreclosures and a dire outlook on the economy.

So far, the foot-in-mouth remarks haven't seemed to affect his standing in the nomination race.

Romney has run a far more cautious and disciplined campaign than his losing bid of four years ago. He's kept the focus on his core message: He's the strongest candidate able to beat President Barack Obama on the biggest issue of the campaign, the economy. He still enjoys leading positions in public opinion polls in early primary states and across the nation. Few, if any, of the other Republicans in the race have turned his remarks against him.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Romney's chief rival with the money to prove it, is all but certain to try. Perry has already started suggesting that Romney lives a life of privilege while he comes from humble roots. In an interview Friday with CNN, another GOP candidate, former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, painted Romney as "a perfectly lubricated weather vane on the important issues of the day."

And Romney's eyebrow-raising comments are tailor-made for critical TV ads.

Look no further than the Democratic Party and Obama's advisers for proof of that.

Each time Romney says something that makes even his closest aides grimace, Democrats quickly put together a Web video highlighting the remark ? a preview of certain lines of attack come the general election should the former Massachusetts governor win the nomination.

"Mitt Romney's message to Arizona? You're on your own," says a new ad by the Democratic National Committee that jumps on Romney's foreclosure remarks.

Romney's team publicly dismisses their boss's occasional loose lips, dismissing them as inconsequential to voters focused on an unemployment rate hovering around 9 percent.

"It's a long campaign and at the end of the day people are going to judge Gov. Romney and his ability to take on President Obama over jobs and the economy. And certainly there will be a lot of back and forth as the campaign progresses," said Russ Schriefer, a Romney strategist.

"This election will be decided on big issues because the issues are so big and so important," Schriefer said. "And not on a gaffe or a mistake or a moment, any particularly moment. It's more about the big moments and who voters see and being able to turn the economy around."

It usually takes more than one gaffe or one mistake to undo a campaign. And other candidates have made their own potentially problematic comments.

Take, for instance, Herman Cain's assertion that the Wall Street protesters are in the streets to distract from Obama's record: "If you don't have a job and you're not rich, blame yourself." Or Perry's suggestion that Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke is "almost treasonous": "If this guy prints more money between now and the election, I don't what y'all would do to him in Iowa, but we would treat him pretty ugly down in Texas." Or former House Speaker Newt Gingrich explaining his infidelity: "There's no question at times of my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate."

But a string of unforced errors, when combined, can reinforce unfavorable perceptions of the candidate, as Romney aides privately acknowledge. And that's the trouble Romney faces ? just as John Kerry damaged himself when he racked up a series of equivocating comments on a series of issues while the Democratic nominee in 2004.

President George W. Bush's re-election campaign used Kerry's waffling ? conflicts between his votes and his quotes ? to cast him as an opportunist who would shift his positions to win votes.

Romney gave his critics a similar opening over the past few days. In Ohio, he refused to say whether he would support a local ballot initiative even as he visited a site where volunteers were making hundreds of phone calls to help Republicans defeat it. Issue Two would repeal Ohio Gov. John Kasich's restrictions on public sector employee bargaining.

It turned out that Romney had already weighed in, supporting Kasich's efforts in a June Facebook post. And, a day after the Ohio visit, Romney made clear where he stood, saying he was "110 percent" behind the anti-union effort.

There have been other instances of comments that could come back to haunt him. In Arizona at one point, he tried to highlight his father's role running an auto company but inadvertently painted himself as a have, rather than a have not.

"See, I'm a Detroit guy, so, you know, I only have domestics," he said, then added: "I have a couple of Cadillacs, at two different houses. You know, small crossovers."

During a recent debate, Romney suggested that the discovery of illegal immigrants working on his yard during his first presidential campaign was a problem ? not because it was illegal, but because "I'm running for office, for Pete's sake."

Comments like those could partly explain why Romney has kept a limited public schedule and favors closed events and appearances that play down spontaneous interaction with reporters.

Still, in some ways, the damage may already have been done. Expect to hear Romney's impolitic comments frequently as Republicans and Democrats alike try to derail Romney.

Justin Bieber, Drake, More: When Hip-Hop Goes Pop

With collabos between Lil Wayne and Joe Jonas, Taylor Swift and T.I., the lines separating music genres are increasingly becoming blurred.
By Jocelyn Vena

In a modern music landscape where genre is pretty much nonexistent, the lines are becoming even further blurred. That's why music lovers barely flinched when news broke that Justin Bieber will work with Kanye West and his "homey" Drake on his next album.

However, more than a decade ago, major mainstream artists like Britney Spears or even *NSYNC (whose very own Justin Timberlake later went on to work with hip-hoppers) would never have thought about hooking up with rappers like Eminem, for instance. In fact, they were the punch line to many of Em's finest rhymes during the "TRL" era.

Today, pop stars and rap stars are unapologetically sharing their love for one another. Lil Wayne, who recently worked with artists including Joe Jonas and Jennifer Lopez, seems to be one of the guys leading the charge. In addition to appearing on tracks with pop stars, Demi Lovato's and Bieber's covers of his track "How to Love" have made headlines. So, what is it about Weezy?

"I just loved the way that Lil Wayne took a risk doing the song 'How to Love,' " Lovato explained. "And when I really listened to it, it's such a great song."

That enthusiasm for his work, according to Vibe Music Editor John Kennedy, has a lot to do with Weezy "the man" as well as Weezy "the artist." "Wayne appeals to the pop world because he's obviously got a tremendous following and is a talented artist, but he's a character outside of the music. His image off-wax is just as prominent as his rhymes on record," he explained. "So when you get Wayne on a record, it's more than just a hot 16, you're getting a rebel to society: the sagging denims, tats all over, diamond grills. It just adds rock star flavor with hip-hop appeal."

"On an artistic level, he just seems like an exciting guy to be around who is also willing to try just about everything, so I imagine pop stars can basically say, 'Hey, can you do this weird thing?' and he'd say yes," Entertainment Weekly staff writer Kyle Anderson added about Wayne's appeal. "From a more business standpoint, working with Wayne not only means chart and radio recognition but also instant cool. He has a cachet that hasn't faded yet."

But Wayne is hardly the only guy in the game defying the laws of hip-hop and pop. Country superstar Taylor Swift has certainly done her part, appearing in concert with guys like T.I. and B.o.B. "I'm a huge hip-hop fan, and it's been so amazing to have so many incredible artists come out and to get to sing the hooks on their songs that I've been blasting in my car for the last couple years," she explained. "It's been awesome. I couldn't have asked for more amazing special guests on this tour, and we're not finished yet."

But it's not just the pop stars singing the praises of rappers and hoping to get some street cred. Rappers are clamoring to hook up with their pop counterparts too, picking up where artists like Mariah Carey/O.D.B. and Christina Aguilera/Redman left off. And recently, Aguilera's former pop rival, Spears, jumped on the trend when she toured with Nicki Minaj.

When MTV News caught up with Minaj backstage on the Femme Fatale Tour, she said that the crossover success has been intriguing and surprising. "I'm always surprised," she said. "I don't really expect them to know all the records, but I guess it just kind of transcends all genres of music at this point."

As the genre-bending continues, it seems that the pairings are likely to get more and more unexpected. "I met Justin [Bieber] back in February. He's a cool kid and sh--," Tyler, the Creator said of his desire to work with the teen star. "When I got in there, he was talkin' about the 'Yonkers' video and sh--. It was weird, because I was sitting here starstruck, like, 'Oh, f---, it's Bieber. He's asking me questions.' I'm like, 'Shut the f--- up so I can talk to you.' "

What do you think of the pop/ hip-hop crossover? Tell us in the comments.

Nintendo announces wider losses, lowers yearly forecast (Digital Trends)

Nintnedo3DS

A couple years ago Nintendo seemed to be riding an unstoppable juggernaut of sales based on the popularity of the Nintendo Wii, its DS series of handheld gaming devices, and (of course) its plethora of in-house titles like the Mario and Zelda franchises. But times have changed: today the company announced (PDF) it has lost some ?70.3 billion?about US$925 million? in the six months ending September 2011.

Nintendo expects to be buoyed a bit by end-of-year holiday sales, a time that traditionally sees a strong uptick in both gaming hardware and software. However, where the company was previously forecasting it would make a ?20 billion profit for its fiscal year, the company now expects to lose ?20 billion for the year, or roughly US$264 million.

Nintendo is being hit by weaker-than-expected software sales. Nintendo America has published a revised sales forecast shows the company expects hardware sales to be roughly what they expected, but software sales for all its major platforms (Wii, DS, and 3DS) to be lower than expected. The company now believes sales of 3DS titles will be more than 28 percent off its original forecast, totaling 50 million units?although going forward Nintendo doesn?t plan to include software titles bundled with hardware in its forecast?it did for the first part of the year.

Nintendo?which owes some of its popularity to titles that appeal to casual and non-traditional gamers?has also been facing competition from the likes of Apple and Android device makers, whose tablets, smartphones, and media player often provide users access to a plethora of casual games via the iTunes App Store, Android Market, and similar venues. So far, Nintendo has ruled out porting any of its key franchises to iOS, Android, or other platforms, hoping their long-standing appeal will continue to draw customers to its platform. Nintendo?s financials have also been impacted by a relatively strong yen.

Although Nintendo had a strong hit with the Wii, sales have dropped off sharply due to market saturation, and the Nintendo 3DS handheld?which offers a 3D display that doesn?t require glasses?hasn?t resonated strongly with consumers, and Nintendo has admitted that no 3DS title has really taken off. For the first six months of its fiscal year, the company says it has sold 3.07 million 3DS units worldwide. At the same time, sales of its previous Nintendo DS handheld (and software titles to go with it) have dropped sharply from a year ago.

PFT: Cowher-to-Dolphins talk intensifies

Buffalo Bills v Miami DolphinsGetty Images

Predictably, reports have surfaced that Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has contacted former Steelers coach Bill Cowher.? Even more predictably, Ross denies that he has contacted Cowher.

?Not true,? Ross said Friday, via David Hyde of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.? ?I?m not going to reach out to anyone while Tony [Sparano] is the coach.? I hope he wins and stays the coach.? Neither I nor anyone involved with me has contacted [Cowher], his agent or anyone around him.?

It?s hard to accept that one at face value, for several reasons.? First, it?s hard to accept pretty much anything anyone connected to an NFL team says at face value.? When it comes to on-field and off-field football tactics, the truth often is told only when it happens to mesh with the strategically prudent explanation.? Second, Ross already has shown a willingness not only to contact ?anyone? (cough ? Jim Harbaugh ? cough) while Sparano is the coach, but to fly across the country with the team?s General Manager to meet with said ?anyone.?? Third, in this bizarre separation dance between Ross and Sparano, where Ross possibly has decided to stay the course (at least for now) in the hopes of racking up enough losses to get Andrew Luck and where Sparano possibly sees that and wants to get fired, admitting to conduct that undermines Sparano could give Sparano enough ammunition to claim that he has been constructively discharged, which would allow him to quit ? and also to pursue a buyout of his contract.

Fourth, and perhaps most importantly, what else was Ross going to say?? ?Yep, I contacted Cowher.? And Gruden.? And I tried Vince Lombardi but they keep saying the number is disconnected or no longer in service.?

Despite these obvious reasons for Ross to deny, Hyde chooses to knock down the reports from guys like Mike Freeman of CBSSports.com (who reported that contact had occurred through intermediaries) and Albert Breer of NFL Network (a league employee with an impeccable reputation for accuracy who reported that Ross has contacted Cowher?s agent).? Hyde wonders why Ross would contact Cowher at this stage of the season, given that Ross isn?t competing with anyone for Cowher?s services ? and given that contacting Cowher now could offend him.? ?Make[s] no sense on a lot of levels,? Hyde writes.

Actually, it makes sense on every level.

It?s called gauging interest.? If Cowher, via his agent, says that he?s interested, Ross can put Cowher on the wish list and wait until Sparano is fired to make a move.? If Cowher, via his agent, says that he?d never be interested, Ross can remove Cowher?s name from the list.? If Cowher, via his agent, says that Cowher could be interested if X, Y, and/or Z were to happen, Ross can commence the process of deciding whether he can and will make X, Y, and/or Z happen.

Given the extremely clumsy manner in which the Dolphins pursued Harbaugh in January, it makes sense that the Dolphins would begin lining up potential candidates now, and that they would do so in a somewhat clumsy manner, allowing word of the courtship to make its way to the media.

Here?s what Ross should have done.? He should have limited the information regarding any contact with Cowher?s agent to only a handful of people ? ideally, only one person other than himself.? And the message to Cowher?s agent (or whomever has been contacted) should have been clear and direct:? If word of this gets out, we?ll deny it, and we?ll remove you from consideration.

But the Dolphins are both clumsy and desperate right now, so they won?t be doing things discreetly and they won?t be issuing the kinds of ultimatums that ensure complete discretion.? As Ross essentially admitted when the Harbaugh fiasco blew up in the Fins? faces, Ross isn?t schooled in these nuances of NFL teams.

And it shows.? On every level.

ABA Opinions Regarding Electronic Communications

EmailsThe American Bar Association released two Formal Opinion on August 4, 2011: Formal Opinion 11-459 "Duty to Protect the Confidentiality of Email Communications with One's Client" and Formal Opinion 11-460: Duty when Lawyer Receives Copies of a Third Party's E-mail Communications with Counsel.?A summary of the Opinions are below:

Formal Opinion 11-459: Duty to Protect the Confidentiality of Email Communications with One's Client

Under Rule 1.6(a), attorneys must refrain from revealing ?information relating to the representation of a client unless the client gives informed consent.? Additionally, attorneys have a duty to ?provide competent representation of a client? under Rule 1.1.

In 1999, the ABA concluded that an attorney does not violate his duties under Rule 1.6(a) by sending information relating to a client?s representation by unencrypted e-mail (it warned, however, that disclosures of highly sensitive matters require strong protective measures).

Courts have been divided on whether a client-employee?s client-attorney communications sent by or stored on a workplace computer are privileged. The ABA concludes that the attorney should advise the employee-client as to the importance of keeping e-mail communications with the attorney confidential, and that the attorney should advise the client to not use a workplace devise or system for sensitive communications.

An attorney likely has an ethical duty to warn a client against using a workplace device or system for attorney-client communication when:

  1. that the client has engaged in, or has indicated an intent to engage in, e-mail communications with counsel
  2. that the client is employed in a position that would provide access to a workplace device or system;
  3. that, given the circumstances, the employer or a third party has the ability to access the e-mail communications; and
  4. that, as far as the lawyer knows, the employer?s internal policy and the jurisdiction?s laws do not clearly protect the privacy of the employee?s personal e-mail communications via a business device or system.

The ABA also noted that "[u]nless a lawyer has reason to believe otherwise, a lawyer ordinarily should assume that an employer?s internal policy allows for access to the employee?s e-mails sent to or from a workplace device or system.?

Formal Opinion 11-460: Duty when Lawyer Receives Copies of a Third Party's E-mail Communications with Counsel

Rule 4.4(b) makes clear that ?a lawyer who receives a document relating to the representation of the lawyer?s client and knows or reasonably should know that the document was inadvertently sent shall promptly notify the sender.? However, the rule does not expressly address a situation in which an employee provides opposing counsel with copies of the employee's private communications with counsel, which the employee located in the employer?s workplace computer, email system, or other device.

The ABA has declined to interpret Rule 4.4(b) to require notice to the opposing counsel in the above situation, but notes that other law may impose a duty to notify.

If other governing law is unclear as to when disclosure is necessary, the ABA notes that

Rule 1.6(b)(6) allows the employer?s lawyer to disclose that the employer has retrieved the employee?s attorney-client e-mail communications to the extent he or she reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to comply with the relevant law, even if the legal obligation is not free from doubt. On the other hand, if no law can reasonably be read as establishing a reporting obligation, then the decision whether to give notice must be made by the employer-client.

However, the ABA suggests that giving notice and obtaining a judicial ruling is often in the employer-client?s best interest even when there is no clear notification obligation. The attorney must follow Rules 1.0(e), 1.4(b), and 1.6(a) when explaining the risks of disqualification or other sanctions to the client to enable the client to make an informed decision.

UFC 137 press conference video: ?Cro Cop? says this might be it

The 2011 version of Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic is a different fighter in and out of the cage than we saw in the early 2000's. Whether that will lead to one final win tomorrow night is anyone's guess, but? Cro Cop is at peace with whatever happens.

"I'm relaxed, there's no pressure on me. I will do best to beat Roy, who I respect a lot. I don't want to underestimate him,"Cro Cop said during the UFC 137 press conference. "But if you ask me, this is the most important fight in my career. This will be the most important fight in my career and that's why I trained so hard for Saturday evening. I'm just looking forward to it."

Cro Cop's lost two straight and 3-of-5. More importantly, he was the victim of terrible knockout at UFC 128 at the hands of Brendan Schaub. He faces another fighter badly in need of a win in Roy Nelson. Cro Cop doesn't want to go out with three straight losses.

"[...] this could easily be my last fight in the UFC. It has nothing to do with the result, if I win or lose. Especially if I lose, but even if I win it could be my last fight in the UFC. And I'll really give my best and hope this will be an attractive fight. I cannot afford anymore, especially in this fight, that it's declared as the most boring fight of the evening like the fight with Frank Mir. I think me and Roy will perform a good fight and the fans will be satisfied and excited," said Cro Cop.

If he sounds too relaxed, don't be fooled because Cro Cop told the media on Wednesday he has some extra motivation, he wants to avoid ridicule in his home country.

"People in my country will say, 'If you beat him, you beat a fat guy', and if you lost to him they start laughing to me, 'You lost against him', but he's a super dangerous guy who can knock out anyone. Some people might be tricked by his body, but he's a dangerous guy," said Cro Cop.

Nelson is a minus-275 favorite in Las Vegas sportsbooks. A Cro Cop bet brings back plus-235.
